Q: How Is Catalyst Fitness Different?
A:We realize that sometimes it’s difficult for the consumer to distinguish between personal trainers and facilities. The unfortunate truth is simply that the fitness industry is completely unregulated today. In the State of Indiana, a person can become and practice the science of personal training without any credentials. So essentially, someone can create, implement, and take you through a fitness program with no background, college degree, certification, experience, or any other qualification!
The Staff: Our Professional Staff has been carefully assembled to provide our clients with a balanced, educated, experienced, and qualified team. We work for our clients to serve them with the utmost integrity and passion for their success. We collaborate daily with other highly respected fitness & nutrition experts from across the nation. Our network of other health and fitness Professionals including Registered Dieticians, Physical Therapists, other Leading Fitness Professionals and Doctors. This allows us to continually aspire to and acquire the highest level of knowledge and resources so that we may focus on our mission. Namely, to deliver the most safe, effective and stimulating fitness program to our clients and the Fort Wayne community. Our focus is to educate you and sift through the confusing clutter of “fitness advice” that we are bombarded with through various media.
We go well beyond counting workout repetitions; our goal is to educate and empower you for health, fitness and weight loss success! Our passion is helping you.
Private Studio: We now have two Fort Wayne Area Fitness Studios for your enjoyment. Our first location at 508 North Hadley Road is located inside of Wildwood Racquet Club. This is not your typical crowded gym. The atmosphere is very different and has been described as “just as comfortable as if it were in your own home,” and “a cheers-like atmosphere…where everybody knows your name.” Our Personal Training clients always have their own Fitness Professional guiding them through each appointment and since we carefully limit how many memberships that we sell at any given time, there is never a ‘crowd’ watching or people wandering around wasting your time. We have no waiting lists for a piece of equipment and no lines. Bottom line, your comfort is at the top of our list. As a result, our environment is motivating, positive, and non-intimidating. We work hard to protect this environment, your experience, and the efficiency of your time.
Our newest location is located at 2036 Broadway and is just south of Mad Anthony’s at the intersection of Broadway and Taylor with George’s International Market directly across the street. We are extremely excited about this new location as it provides our clientele with an incredible urban atmosphere. Inside of an old, restored building, our refinished brick walls and hardwood floors will not only excite anyone with an appreciation of something original, unique, and authentic but it will also help you feel renewed each and every time you visit. We chose to serve this area of our community because we feel that it is extremely under-served when it comes to the high quality fitness services that we can provide. Plus, we want to support the revitalization of the Broadway corridor. Regardless, of OUR reasons for our Broadway location, YOUR reasons can be a simple as it provides a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy our top-notch services in a location that is just minutes from the heart of downtown. Simple.
Our Company: We can also promise you this…your experience with Catalyst Fitness will be far different than what you are used to. Today, there are very few businesses we encounter that seem to know how to treat their customers and clients… and when you do come across a company that does, it’s definitely a pleasant surprise, rather than the norm. We are committed to making it the norm of Catalyst Fitness to serve you with impeccable integrity and effort. The Staff at Catalyst Fitness strives to give you the same level of top notch service every time you encounter our Fitness Professionals. We want you to be so thrilled that you’ll want to tell all your friends and family about your great experience! We are devoted fitness educators and are happy to serve you.
Q: How Does Catalyst Fitness Work With Its Clients?
A: We work with our clients in a very individualized way. By this, we mean that each client or member will experience Catalyst Fitness a little differently…because we are all different! What may be best for one person certainly isn’t the same as the next person…and so on. We have a thorough initial interview process that will help us to customize our services to your needs. No pre-packaged programs here!
We have many affordable options available which allows for anyone to benefit from our services.
Private One-on-One Personal Training: Personal training is the fastest, most effective, and most legitimate weight loss and fitness optimization strategy available. Working with a well regarded personal training team, people learn more about nutrition and exercise than they could learn reading 10 books or exercising on their own for years. Our One-on-One Private Training means there is one client and one trainer (unless you add a friend or spouse to your session). You’re never a part of a group and you’ll never have to share a trainer. We believe that every second of your experience must be carefully orchestrated and executed by a qualified Fitness Professional. At the private studio, you don’t compete with anyone else for your trainer’s complete attention, or for the use of the equipment. Instead, you’ll find it surprisingly easy to focus on yourself and – with your trainer’s one-on-one help – you’ll be able to take total control of your mind, health, & body.
Q: How Do I Get Started With Catalyst Fitness And My Trainer?
A: Call us or stop in! We will then set your first appointment. We begin your first appointment with a health and fitness consultation where we thoroughly review your health history, learn about you, discuss your needs, establish goals and set timelines, and then conduct a detailed health and fitness analysis. At this first session, we’ll also discuss and set up a schedule that fits your needs and desires.
Q: What Will I Be Doing When I Exercise?
A: That depends on you! Everyone is different and although your goals may be similar to someone else… they are never quite the same. Thus, your exercise program, although similar to someone else… is never quite the same.
Your workout is designed based upon your health history, goals, any current limitations, and the time you have available for exercise. We will educate you on the core components of good health as well as what your individual focus should be. Clients generally start feeling better, physically and mentally, the first week they begin their training.
Q: Do You Help Me With My Nutrition And Eating?
Proper nutrition is an essential part of any fitness program. We will teach you what proper nutrition really is, what are the myths and truths about nutrition, why mainstream diets fail, and what you can do to incorporate nutrition that works for you and your goals.
Q: Are You Going To Make Me Look Like A Body Builder?
A: Not unless you want to look like a body builder.
If you are looking to become a body builder, we will refer you to those trainers who specialize in physique contest preparation. We have trainers with experience in assisting people for this type of training.
Otherwise, we’ll be training you to be physically fit and healthy, to lose body fat, and to increase energy and vitality. You will build some lean, toned muscle as you train, and your body will change positively as a result.
Q: Are You Going To Make Me Buy A Huge Package Of Training Sessions Or Use High Pressure Sales Tactics Like Other Places I’ve Visited?
A: Absolutely not! We are Fitness Professionals who work with clients simply because it is what we have committed our lives to.
Many gyms, health clubs, fitness centers, and personal trainers entice you into signing up for 6, 12, or 18 sessions, sometimes even months of personal training.
At Catalyst Fitness, we place our focus on your ultimate success, not on what we can “sell” you. We don’t need a “sales office or sales staff.”
We are so confident in our approach that we offer pay as you go services and you can discontinue at any time. We simply don’t feel the need to lock anyone into a long contract or sell huge personal training packages. We do not require you to purchase a membership to enjoy any of our services (although you may if you want to use our facility in that manner.) If you do want a membership, we have no contracts that will lock you in to a long-term commitment.
Our programs are endorsed by medical doctors. We treat you with respect and professionalism. Simply put, we want you to feel 100% comfortable at all times.
Q: Are There A Lot Of Other People In The Studio While I’m Training?
A: During your visits, there will never be more than a few people working out simultaneously. Our Fitness Professionals also have a knack for working around each other and any clients or members. We will keep the studio and those using it moving smoothly and comfortably around each other. Our goal is to make you feel 100% comfortable here at Catalyst Fitness. Everyone, from the staff to the clients have fun, support each other, and are very courteous.
Q: What Should I Wear?
A: Wear what you are comfortable wearing. Most clients wear a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Some wear sweats. It doesn’t matter as long as you feel comfortable, you are wearing nothing that displays offensive images or language, and you are wearing nothing that damages our equipment. We reserve the right to ask you to change what you are wearing at any moment if we deem it inappropriate.
Q: Can My Spouse, Children, Or Friend Come In With Me Too?
A: Of course! We encourage you to include others around you into your pursuit of health and fitness. Our focus is your goals and getting your family and friends involved is a great way to develop a support network. It will also help everyone look and feel great! We have Small Group program options available as well as family membership discounts.
Q: Can I Come In Anytime I Want?
A: We will schedule appointments anytime that works best for you and your Catalyst Fitness Professional. However, for members or those dropping in for information, you may count on that we are always open Monday through Friday from 5:30am to 8:00pm and on Saturdays from 7:30am to 12:00 noon. Remember, we will not close our doors until the last appointment is finished, so call ahead if you need to come outside of our “normal” hours….we may still be open!
With our approach, you’ll make sure you get to your workouts. Chances are if you put it off, you won’t do it, continuing your frustration with reaching your health and fitness goals.
Q: I Feel A Little Nervous About Getting Started, I Have Never Done Anything Like This Before.
A: Many new clients felt that way – it’s completely okay. We find that after you take that first step and meet us, you feel exceptionally comfortable with our staff and training approach. We are guided by a simple passion for helping people. By educating our clients and working hard to thrill them beyond what they expect, we show them that they can feel better than they ever thought possible!
That’s our promise and commitment to you.
Q: Can You Provide Testimonials By Your Clients?
A: Sure! You may stop by our studio anytime and ask anyone how they feel about the service they have received. We work hard to make sure that each and every client is happy. You may also read about some of our Success Stories by clicking here.
